Adult & Senior Eye Exams

Safeguard Your Vision With Regular Eye Exams

You want your eyes to feel comfortable at all times. However, eye health goes much deeper than how well you see or how your eyes feel. Eye diseases and conditions can develop at any point in your life, and the best way to safeguard your vision is by going for regular eye exams.

What to Expect From an Eye Exam

We work hard to ensure eye exams are as convenient and comfortable as possible. During the exam we will determine how well you see up close, at a distance, and everywhere in-between. We use tried and true tools like eye charts and phoropters, and we use a range of advanced diagnostic tools to determine your eye’s health.

You will be a part of the exam every step of the way. You will know which technology we use and how, and at the end of the exam, you’ll have an in-depth understanding of your eye health.

Why Are Eye Exams Important?

Your eyes are continually changing and developing, which may affect your vision and the need for glasses, contacts, or medications. In addition, eye diseases and other serious conditions can develop without you even knowing.

To help make sure your eyes are protected, make sure you are going for regular eye exams.

Eye Disease Diagnosis & Management

Almost any person can develop an eye disease throughout their lifetime. Eye diseases can develop over a long period of time without showing any symptoms, and by the time you’ve noticed, your vision could be permanently damaged.

We use the latest in eye care technology to detect eye disease sooner and help apply the right treatments when you need them. To help safeguard your vision from eye disease, make sure you’re going for regular eye exams.

Ongoing Eye Care & When to Visit

We want your vision to stay sharp and your eyes healthy between regular exams. While most insurance plans cover routine eye exams every 2 years, your eyes can change more frequently. If you notice any changes in your vision or have concerns at any time, please contact us—we’re here to help.

Partial exams are also available if you experience specific symptoms, such as:

  • Blurry near or distance vision
  • Eye strain, especially when reading or using a computer
  • Dry or irritated eyes

Additionally, the Saskatchewan Health Authority covers eye exams for various urgent or specialized eye health concerns, including:

  • Eye infections & allergies
  • Flashes or floaters in your vision
  • Corneal scratches or abrasions
  • Sudden vision loss

Certain groups qualify for yearly eye exams through the Saskatchewan Health Authority:

  • Children under 18 years old
  • People with diabetes (regardless of treatment)

Lastly, we are always happy to clean and adjust your glasses between visits to ensure your eyewear is comfortable and effective.
