When contact lenses fit well, they’re incredibly convenient, allowing the wearer to enjoy clear vision without the hassle of glasses. Unfortunately, after experiencing ill-fitting contact lenses, many patients mistakenly believe that contacts just aren’t for them.
At Brighton Eyecare, we work with you to find lenses that fit your eyes comfortably and provide the correct visual performance.
Request an appointment to experience the freedom of properly-fitting contact lenses.
Generally speaking, finding the right contact lenses is broken into a 3-step process: the exam, the fitting, and the lens trials.
First, we’ll start with a comprehensive contact lens exam. This appointment is a little bit different from an eye exam: During this appointment, we specifically look for any issues that could prevent you from successfully wearing contact lenses properly. We specifically look for any issues that could prevent you from wearing contact lenses properly.
If you’re a good candidate for contacts, we’ll go ahead and determine your contact lens prescription, which is different from your eyeglasses prescription.
For contacts to work and feel right, they need to fit your eyes correctly. That’s why we take the time to measure your eyes.
Using advanced instruments, we take ultra-precise measurements of your corneas. Don’t worry; this process is not nearly as invasive as it sounds. Our technology allows us to record these measurements without actually touching your eyes.
Using all of the information we’ve collected so far, we’ll give you a sample of the lenses that we think will best serve your needs and lifestyle We will examine the fit and vision with the contact lenses in office, as well as give you a chance to try them out at home and work before ordering a supply.
Contact lens technology is always evolving. Brighton Eyecare offers a variety of specialty contact lenses to help you enjoy optimal visual performance. Ask your eye care team if any of our specialty contact lenses are right for you.
